Founder and President
The founder of YogaMedics is Sarah Fink. Her vision is to revolutionize healthcare as we know it. YogaMedics is aligning the incentives of physicians, patients, insurers, employers, and families. Its cutting edge method of healing helps people who have not YET been able to recover.
After earning her Masters of Public Health from the University of Michigan, Sarah, a longtime yoga enthusiast, served as the Director of Strategic Development for the Michigan Health and Hospital Association. In the midst of working with hospitals, insurance agencies, and studying current health care trends, she saw the need for medical programs to truly provide holistic health and simultaneously address the mental, physical, and emotional impacts of injury and illness.
Her beliefs that the integration of yoga and evidence based medicine could help people not only recover physically, but also find the confidence and internal strength to achieve overall health and wellness, fueled the creation of YogaMedics.
Sarah has been practicing yoga for more than ten years and has been a certified teacher for the last five years. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kalamazoo College, where she studied psychology with a focus on behavioral interventions. She earned a Masters of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan, with a dual focus in Health Behavior and Education and Health Management and Policy.
Director of Accounts
Mary came to YogaMedics after a long career as an artist in the medical field. She graduated from College for Creative Studies with a degree in Advertising Design and a strong interest in figurative painting and drawing, which included the study of superficial anatomy. Mary worked as a cosmetic prosthetist and graphic designer at Henry Ford Hospital, then as a senior graphic designer and medical illustrator at Beaumont Hospital.
Several years ago she decided to follow another passion — her love of food and nutrition — and graduated with a degree in culinary arts from Schoolcraft Community College. Always health conscious and aware of the yoga’s restorative benefits, Mary’s background in the medical and food industries support YogaMedics and its clients.
